The Abercrombie Company was started by David Abercrombie in 1892. Ezra Fitch joined the company in 1900 and in 1904 the company name was changed to Abercrombie & Fitch and they supplied sporting and excursion goods. Over the years the company changed hands many times with varying degrees of success although always targeting a younger market.
