When To Stay In Bali
Planning a Bali holiday? With literally hundreds of places to stay you will be spoiled for choice when choosing your Bali Accommodation / Resorts.
From budget homestays, older style comfortable garden bungalows, through to 3-6 star resorts, Bali has something to suit everyone and every budget
Being pretty much in Australia’s backyard, Bali has become an Australian holiday favourite for families, surfers and solo adventurers over the past few decades.
Affordable and easy, all you need to do is pack your boardshorts and t shirts and within a few short hours you’ll be transplanted to a tropical paradise with friendly locals, a vibrant culture and an abundance of beaches, bars and restaurants offering local and international cuisine.
It’s no wonder that Australians keep coming back year after year and generation after generation.
Whilst it’s not possible to review the many Bali Accommodation / Resorts options, these are few of the favourites that Australian tourists have enjoyed over time along with a few newer properties now on the radar of the perceptive Australian traveller. As many Australian visitors choose the Kuta-Seminyak area as their preferred place to stay, we have focused on this stretch.
Starting in Legian right on the beach at the end of Jalan Padma we have Bali Mandira to the south and Padma resort to the north. Both hotels are in the mid-upper price range and each resort offers all the facilities one would expect along with access straight onto Legian beach for swimming, surfing,. lazing, beach bars and local cheap warung food.
For those wanting to stay in the heart of Kuta, we have the White Rose Hotel, a beautifully traditional taste of Bali. This classic resort is on Jalan Legian Kuta, only a short walk from shopping, nightclubs restaurants and Poppies 2. It has a relaxing pool and comfortable rooms. Hardrock Bali has also become a Kuta favorite with many Australian families looking for plenty of activities for the kids.
Close to the airport in the Tuban area and with easy access to the airport surf reefs, Lippo Mall and Discovery Mall, we recommend the Bali Bintang resort as a four star option or Febri’s for a more budget option. The Bali Bintang has direct beach access, a large swimming pool and some of the best established tropical gardens of any resort.
In Seminyak a couple of favourites are the The Royal Beach Seminyak for a more affordable option or The Oberoi for a more up market experience. Being in Seminyak, both resorts offer easy access to the numerous restaurants, bars and boutiques in the area.
There are also a number of Australian favourite Bali Accommodation / Resorts in other popular tourist areas like Sanur, Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, Ubud and Canggu.
